Summary
Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported to affect certain QNAP operating system and application versions:
- CVE-2024-21899: If exploited, the improper authentication vulnerability could allow users to compromise the security of the system via a network.
- CVE-2024-21900: If exploited, the injection vulnerability could allow authenticated users to execute commands via a network.
- CVE-2024-21901: If exploited, the SQL injection vulnerability could allow authenticated administrators to inject malicious code via a network.
- CVE-2024-27124: If exploited, the OS command injection vulnerability could allow users to execute commands via a network.
- CVE-2024-32764: If exploited, the missing authentication for critical function vulnerability could allow unprivileged users to gain access to and execute certain functions via a network.
- CVE-2024-32766: If exploited, the OS command injection vulnerability could allow users to execute commands via a network.

Recommendation

Updating QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud
- Log in to QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud as an administrator.
- Go to Control Panel > System > Firmware Update.
- Under Live Update, click Check for Update.
The system downloads and installs the latest available update.
Tip: You can also download the update from the QNAP website. Go to Support > Download Center and then perform a manual update for your specific device.
Updating myQNAPcloud
- Log on to QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud as an administrator.
- Open App Center and then click .
A search box appears. - Type "myQNAPcloud" and then press ENTER.
myQNAPcloud appears in the search results. - Click Update.
A confirmation message appears.
Note: The Update button is not available if your myQNAPcloud is already up to date. - Click OK.
The system updates the application.
Updating myQNAPcloud Link
- Log on to QTS, QuTS hero, or QuTScloud as an administrator.
- Open App Center and then click .
A search box appears. - Type "myQNAPcloud Link" and then press ENTER.
myQNAPcloud Link appears in the search results. - Click Update.
A confirmation message appears.
Note: The Update button is not available if your myQNAPcloud Link is already up to date. - Click OK.
The system updates the application.
